Johnny Pappas is a Screenwriter, Director and Producer based in San Diego County California. Johnny uses his life experiences through writing to make projects come alive . Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to Greek immigrant parents and his first language was not English. Johnny Pappas graduated from university and law school in Boston, Massachusetts. One of the best months of his life was a July spent in Montreal, Quebec. He moved to sunny Southern California and loves the cultural diversity, history and vibrancy of the region.

In 2016, Johnny Pappas co-wrote “The Demand,” a 48 hour Film Project, it was a bittersweet weekend when the film was completed and Johnny got the news that his father had passed away. Johnny wrote, directed, filmed and edited “Mystical, Inc.,” a Fourpoints Film Project later that year. In 2017 and 2018, Johnny joined forces with Director Raj Millian and Fine City Productions and wrote “Swords of the Heart,” and “Shambala” for the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project. Later in 2018, Johnny wrote “The Brothers Wallace” for Metal Pixel Productions and, “Trigger Point” for his own Blackstone River. In 2019, Johnny wrote and produced “The Hateful 48” and “Acceledate” for Metal Pixel Productions. Johnny recently sold a script to a local producer and is in pre and post production on different projects.

Johnny seeks representation or management for development of these and other projects.

Johnny Pappas is available to write for your organization, your company or your association and for other freelance work. Johnny Pappas has experience in grass roots organizing, training and leadership, public speaking, presentation and testimony. Johnny Pappas has met with elected representatives and staff locally, lobbied in Sacramento and been a trainer renewable energy advocates in Washington, DC.   Johnny Pappas served as a Board Member on the Executive Committee of the Surfrider Foundation’s San Diego County Chapter, governing the chapter and providing assistance to the chapter coordinator. Johnny Pappas was an Incorporator and Director of UMTR2ME (You Matter to Me), a local charity focused on providing quality hope, support, encouragement, education and resources for individuals who are struggling with mental illness.
